Day #1
Well, here I am on the path to trying to lose 95 - 105 pounds using the Nutrisystem Diet Plan. After careful consideration of which plan to use that supplies the food, I chose Nutrisystem.
I patiently waited for the fairly large 31 pound package to arrive - 10 days later after signing up and was like a kid at Christmas time opening gifts. I was a little disappointed at first when looking at the product but then realised just how much choice I did have.
One peeve was they sent me 14 chicken breasts to compensate for other products they were out of stock on. Get with the program Nutrisystem - at least mix it up a little!
I sorted through every thing - color coded boxes - divided and separated the desserts/snacks fro lunch and dinner and then dove in.
I am to have my gallbladder removed on June 13th of this year - it's causing me all kinds of problems, so I wanted to shed a few pounds prior to the doctor digging into me to remove it - having been warned that "We have to see it in order to remove it" from my GP.
So I thought losing a few pound before this might assist them extracting it - and I really need to get this thin gout of my body.
So...
I thought to myself - "Self - let's just eat the product they sent and not add any of the suggested foods they have listed on my meal planner, not a good idea.
Day # 1 Meal Plan
Breakfast 8:00am
Chewy Chocolate Granola Bar
Snack 10:00 am
1 Granny Smith Apple
Lunch 1:00pm
Trail Mix Bar
Afternoon Snack 3:00pm
BBQ Soy Chips
Dinner 5:00pm
Chicken Breast!?!?!?!
I was starving! So I added a 5 ounce bag of steamed vegetables (Carrots, Broccoli and Cauliflower) to my dinner. A little salt and pepper and voila - I was happy.
Then at 7:00pm - the cravings started! The 7:00 - 8:00pm GORGE TIME is was used to started to set in. I was not one for breakfast, and ate a light lunch at noon - 1:00pm and then come GORGE TIME I could swallow down a whole LARGE pepperoni pizza myself with 2 orders of fries... or order 3 burgers and fries and gravy and knock it back with 4 cans of Coke Zero (thinking these would relieve the guilt.)
Those days HAVE to be gone for me!
So over all - I'm liking the food. The competition suggested I wouldn't (only to try and get me to swing their way - at twice the price!)
I made it through the first day. I am proud of myself - I am happier - I am determined. I'm going to have an apple tomorrow with breakfast!
